Perhaps my higher brain functions are just too weak to contend with the influence of my more primitive biological processes.
Anyways, I suppose the reptilian functions of my most highly evolved organ have served me well thus far. I'm still kicking after damn near a quarter century of existence, thats gotta mean something...
