Trump's entire presidency was an attack on the US

From the moment he descended the escalator at Trump Tower in 2015 to announce his candidacy America came under attack.

This attack wasn't so obvious like Pearl Harbor or 9/11. It was a much more subtle, modern attack fueled by social media laced with disinformation.

The attack lasted four years and nearly destroyed the world's leading democracy. 

Though democracy prevailed - it is not without scars.

A brave new Covid-19 world

Here we are living on a timeline where one third of the world’s population is under pandemic induced lock-down. How hard will it be for the governments of the world to cede their newfound and unfettered powers?

Yes, the President is a Russian agent

It's hard to fathom just what those of The Greatest Generation would think about the idea that the President is a Russian agent. What would FDR or Ike think about this complete fraud?

It's the absolute desecration of the American idea. And it's so obvious that it seems surreal. How could THE PRESIDENT be compromised by Russia?

The concept of a hostile foreign power being in the head of the Commander and Chief is almost impossible to comprehend. But at every turn the evidence - that is to say the frequent contacts, the kowtowing, and secret tax returns - provide us with enough proof to paint a disturbing picture.

So, where does it go from here? Constitutional crisis, or perhaps a Thermonuclear War?

As Facebook, Google tighten security – will disinfo-ops continue to flourish?

It’s a great example of taking too little action, too late. Facebook and Google will now verify the identities of advertisers buying political ads. 

Mark Zukerberg said, “After we identified Russian interference in the 2016 US elections, we successfully deployed new AI tools leading up to the 2017 French, German, and Alabama Senate special elections that removed tens of thousands of fake accounts. Earlier this week, we took down a large network of Russian fake accounts that included a Russian news organization.

He continued: “First, from now on, every advertiser who wants to run political or issue ads will need to be verified. To get verified, advertisers will need to confirm their identity and location. Any advertiser who doesn't pass will be prohibited from running political or issue ads. We will also label them and advertisers will have to show you who paid for them. We're starting this in the US and expanding to the rest of the world in the coming months.”

 Will this really impact the scope and impact of Russian and other malicious state actors’ information operations? Probably, not. Trolls will always be a reality of social networks and as long as Facebook and Google are happy to take payments in rubles – they will continue to facilitate the strategies of foreign intelligence organizations.

If they were serious about curtailing these threats, then they would ban all political advertising outright. But of course bottom lines and shareholders will always come first.

As the Doomsday Clock ticks closer to midnight, thanks to disinformation and the rise of authoritarian populism, one cannot help but to embrace the gallows humor in all of this – that Facebook’s mission is “to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together” when it has accomplished quite the opposite.

Mr. Trump - tear down this wall!

The year is 2020. America's wall on the Mexican border has been successful constructed.

Amid severe social strife in the United States, Putin visits Juárez on an official Russian state visit. The wall is a towering monstrosity, a symbol of fear and isolation.

A massive crowd gathers to hear the once maligned dicator speak after he's gained tremendous worldwide popularity for standing up to the global threat of Trump.

Putin bellows out in English, "Mr. Trump - tear down this wall!"

The crowd erupts in jubilation. "PUTIN, PUTIN, PUTIN!"

Two years later, the United States collapses and splinters into several sovereign republics. And so ends the experiment of liberal democracy as Russia becomes the world's hegemon.

Theory of democracy disproven by 2016 Presidential Election

Walter Cronkite said, “We are not educated well enough to perform the necessary act of intelligently selecting our leaders.” I’ve long agreed with this sentiment. The American public is simply too ill educated and susceptible to manipulation by the interest of the elites.

These are the interests that will have us believe climate change does not exist and our neighbors are our enemies. The more divided they keep us with cultural wedge issues, the easier it is for them to cling to power.

Much like a certain fire and brimstone spewing sociopath taking Europe to the brink of destruction in the 1930s was a symptom of economic discontent, the rise of the white supremacist oompa loompa is a symptom of working class America being spit on and robbed by the elites. The real danger to the establishment would have been a figure who appealed to both sides of the aisle. Of course, this will never exist in a system consumed by the tentacles of the vampire squid.

Alas, this was never about Red vs. Blue and never will be. It will always be the rich vs. the poor, and the latter will never have the upper hand.

As such, it’s time to abandon the theory of American democracy, purge the politicians, and embrace an evolved Athenian model where representation is comprised of scientists and academics. Until then, enjoy the spectacle for what it is; the ultimate high stakes game show where the guns and bombs are real.

How Donald Trump has shifted the Democratic Party to the right

There’s no questions that many young people are fed up with pro-war establishment politicians like Hillary Clinton. Hence, the close primaries with Bernie Sanders.

Enter The Donald. Essentially, his racists, xenophobic campaign platform has terrified left leaning progressive Democrats – who overwhelmingly supported Bernie Sanders and vowed never to support Clinton – so much so that they are now finding comfort in her bosom.

Now, the Democrats look like they’re becoming the new Republican Party – while the GOP currently represents an ideology that fuels anti-immigration racism and is so far right that key swing voters could not even begin to stomach them.

This leaves a void on the left in which a third party could occupy in the future as more young voters start giving a shit.

Of course, all of this is mute in the context of traditional American power structures, which keep the poor in debt bondage and the wealthy in power regardless of voter sentiment. The bottom line is – America was bought and paid for long ago – so sit back and enjoy the circus while you can.
